Concepts Explored: Quote

The Integrative Nutrition Plate emphasizes the importance of local and organic produce, whole grains, high-quality proteins, plant-based fats, and water. It shows you what to include in your plate at mealtime and emphasizes the importance of proportions and portion size. The plate is also surrounded with lifestyle areas that contribute to create optimal health: relationship, career, physical activity and spirituality.

Primary Food refers to all aspects of our life, outside of the food that we eat, that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. Indeed, it’s not just the food we eat that affects our health. All of the other factors present in our daily lives are connected to our health as well. Having healthy relationships, enjoying a fulfilling career, practicing regular physical activity, and having a spiritual awareness are forms of nourishment that impact our health. Even if we eat the healthiest food, when one area of primary food is imbalanced, it negatively impacts our health. 
As your Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I support you in achieving your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life. We use food as the foundation. As you figure out the best food for you, it increases your confidence to then experiment in a broader way with the rest of your life to create an unpredictable future for yourself.

Wherever we look, we find dietary advice comprised of lists of foods to avoid and those to eat, which often leaves us with a sense of powerlessness and confusion as to how to make it happen. 
My approach is different. By eating and drinking foods that are good for you, you will naturally have less room and desire for unhealthy foods and you will crowd out the unhealthy food in your diet. This takes a little practice to make it happen, but I will support you along the way.

Cravings play a critical role in understanding what your body needs and shouldn’t be ignored. When you learn how to deconstruct your cravings and understand what they’re really telling you, you are able to reclaim a sense of balance and harmony.


The concept of Bio-IINndividuality is the idea that each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison. I will support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle and preferences.
